Outdoor Kitchen Sinks
An outdoor kitchen sink might be the most underrated upgrade you can add to your cooking space. It eliminates constant trips inside to wash hands, rinse vegetables, clean utensils, or fill pots. Once you've cooked with a sink at your station, you'll wonder how you ever worked without one.
We carry drop-in sinks from Summerset and other manufacturers that are built for outdoor use — 304 stainless steel basins that resist corrosion, standard faucet compatibility, and drain fittings designed for outdoor plumbing connections. Most models are single-basin designs sized to fit standard island cutouts.
Installation Basics
An outdoor sink requires both a water supply line and a drain. The water supply can connect to your home's existing plumbing or run from a garden hose connection using an adapter. Drainage can route to your home's sewer or septic system (the best permanent option) or to a dry well or French drain for simpler installations. If your island is positioned far from the house, plan your plumbing runs during the island build — it's much easier to route pipes before the countertop goes on. In cold climates, consider adding shutoff valves that let you drain the lines before winter to prevent freezing.
