Outdoor Fire Tables
A fire table combines the warmth and ambiance of a fire pit with the functionality of a patio table. Instead of gathering around a standalone fire pit with nowhere to set your drink, a fire table gives you a flat surface surrounding the flame — room for plates, glasses, and conversation, all warmed by a gas fire centered in the middle.
Fire tables run on either natural gas or liquid propane and produce enough radiant heat to keep a seating area comfortable on cool evenings without the smoke, ash, and unpredictability of a wood-burning fire. Most models feature adjustable flame controls, decorative fire glass or lava rock media, and weather-resistant construction in materials like cast aluminum, concrete, or steel with powder-coat finishes.
Choosing the Right Fire Table
Fire tables come in rectangular, square, and round configurations. Rectangular tables work best alongside sectional seating or dining setups, while round models suit conversation-style seating arrangements. Size matters for both heat coverage and seating capacity — a 40-inch round table seats four comfortably, while a 60-inch rectangular model handles six or more. Check the BTU rating to match the heat output to your typical climate and usage. Most fire tables range from 40,000 to 65,000 BTU, which is sufficient to take the edge off evenings in most climates.
