Every Telescope Casual product is designed, engineered, and handcrafted at their nearly one-million-square-foot manufacturing facility in Granville, New York. The company was founded in 1903 in New York City and relocated to Granville in 1921. More than 300 skilled employees build each piece of furniture in the same facility where Telescope has been manufacturing for over 100 years. The company is family-owned, currently managed by the fourth and fifth generation of the Vanderminden family and headed by Kathy Juckett.

Telescope Casual offers a 15-year residential warranty on frames and a 3-year warranty on cushions. The frame warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship on the Marine Grade Polymer and metal frame components. The cushion warranty covers Sunbrella fabric and cushion construction. The warranty does not cover fading, staining, or scratching of the MGP surface, or rusting of steel or stainless steel components. Marine Grade Polymer is Telescope Casual's signature frame material — a high-density, non-porous polymer originally engineered for the marine industry to withstand harsh saltwater environments. Unlike wood, wicker, or standard resin, MGP will not crack, rot, warp, or separate over time. It is completely impervious to both fresh water and salt water, which makes it ideal for poolside, coastal, and all-weather outdoor use. The color runs solid all the way through the material, so there is no surface coating to chip, peel, or flake. MGP frames require minimal maintenance — just clean with soap and water.
