The Brand
Who Makes Le Griddle?
Le Griddle was founded in 2005 by a pair of French aeronautics experts who applied aircraft manufacturing technology to outdoor cooking. The result is a line of premium flat-top griddles that are engineered with the precision you would expect from the aerospace industry — tight tolerances, advanced material science, and a relentless focus on heat management. Every Le Griddle is built from 304 stainless steel and designed to deliver restaurant-quality teppanyaki-style cooking in your outdoor kitchen.
The heart of every Le Griddle is the patented Dual Plate System — a cooking surface that combines a cast iron base plate with a 304 stainless steel top plate. The cast iron accumulates and retains heat, then transfers it evenly to the stainless steel cooking surface. This dual-layer approach eliminates hot spots and cold zones, delivering uniform temperature across the entire cooking surface. The stainless steel top is non-reactive, easy to clean, and will not rust — and it carries a lifetime warranty.
Le Griddle's lineup ranges from the compact Wee (16-inch, single burner) to the massive Grand Texan (60-inch, four burner) — with the Big Texan (41-inch) and Ranch Hand (30-inch freestanding) in between. Each model is available in natural gas and liquid propane configurations. Optional stainless steel lids transform the griddle into a covered cooking surface for steaming, melting, and heat retention. Built-in models drop into standard outdoor kitchen islands, and freestanding models include cart bases for portable flexibility.
