The Brand
Who Makes Heatstrip?
Heatstrip is the flagship outdoor heating brand of Thermofilm, an Australian company founded in 1988 by Robert Reynolds in Melbourne. Thermofilm originally specialized in thin-film carbon-based heating elements, and in 2004 the design team launched the Heatstrip brand to bring that infrared heating expertise to outdoor living spaces. Today, Heatstrip heaters are designed, engineered, and assembled in Australia and exported to markets across Europe, North America, Asia, and New Zealand.
The Heatstrip lineup spans five distinct series to cover every outdoor heating need. The Enhance series features a sleek glass-front design for a modern aesthetic. The Classic series is the award-winning workhorse -- a versatile radiant heater for protected alfresco areas with optional remote and app control. The Intense series delivers high-temperature output for exposed outdoor sites and high ceilings. The Max DC is a commercial-grade heater with a low-glow shatterproof element for restaurants, venues, and large spaces. And the gas heater lineup offers propane and natural gas options for locations without electrical access.
Thermofilm's engineering excellence has been recognized with the Australian Business Award for Product Value (2013) and induction into the Victorian Government's Manufacturing Hall of Fame (2014). Every Heatstrip heater uses carbon filament infrared technology for instant radiant heat -- no warm-up time, no fan noise, and no wasted energy heating the air. The heat goes directly to people and objects, making infrared significantly more efficient than convection heaters in outdoor environments where wind would blow warm air away.
