Outdoor Patio Heaters

Outdoor heaters solve a simple problem: your patio is perfect except when it's too cold to use. The right heater extends your outdoor season by weeks or even months, keeping you and your guests comfortable on cool evenings without retreating inside. In milder climates, a good heating setup can make your outdoor space usable 12 months a year.

We carry outdoor heaters from Bromic Heating and Heatstrip — two Australian-engineered brands that specialize in high-performance radiant heating designed specifically for outdoor environments. Both brands use infrared technology, which heats people and objects directly rather than attempting to warm the open air. That's an important distinction outdoors, where convection heaters lose most of their output to wind.

Electric vs. Gas Outdoor Heaters

Electric infrared heaters are the simplest to install — they need only a dedicated electrical circuit and can be mounted to walls, ceilings, or poles. They produce no emissions, require zero fuel storage, and provide instant heat at the push of a button or remote control. Gas heaters (natural gas or propane) produce more heat per unit and are better suited for larger spaces or areas where electrical access is limited. Bromic's Tungsten and Platinum series are available in both electric and gas configurations, while Heatstrip specializes in electric radiant heaters.

Choosing the Right Heater for Your Space

The size and openness of your space determines how much heating capacity you need. A covered patio with walls on two or three sides retains heat well and may only need one or two units. A fully open deck or rooftop requires more powerful heaters or additional units to compensate for wind exposure. Mounting height also affects performance — most infrared heaters are rated for specific mounting heights, and exceeding those distances reduces the warmth reaching your seating area.
